Photography

Joanna Biondolillo is a new resident of Folly Beach, president of Folly Beach Artists’ Guild, and a professional photographer.

John Brewton, according to people who know, is a mysterious Folly Beach photographer, novelist and bon vivant. If you’re lucky, you can find his work at Studio Open on Folly.

Barry Cunningham is an avid photographer, licensed realtor, retired chiropractor, workout fanatic, entrepreneur and information junkie. He captures Lowcountry spirit in everything he photographs, whether landscapes, nature or people.

Jimmy Dowds moved to Charleston from Hawaii as an Army brat, and to James Island from East Cooper as soon as he discovered Folly surf. His love of photography came from surfing magazines and his dad’s color slide shows. He worked as a TV news shooter during the 1980’s, and the digital revolution rekindled an interest in what used to be an expensive hobby.

Stan Foxworthy has over 30 years’ experience in commercial photography with clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He’s been behind the camera for some thousand portraits, just as many weddings, and countless other special events, balancing creativity with the technical aspects of photography to produce stunning original images.

Paul Nolan, a Citadel biology professor, studies the ways animals interact with their environment, most recently gentoo penguins on the Antarctic Peninsula, his photo of which won the Faculty/Staff category of The Citadel Provost’s International Photography Competition 2014.

Rivers Rudloff, a recent graduate of James Island Charter High School, studied Advanced Photography with Annie Purvis. He creates using light to communicate mood swings in nature.
