Cuisine

Luckhaus & Brubaker Robyn Luckhaus is a graduate of both UNC Charlotte and Johnson and Wales University. Larry Brubaker was apprenticed to an ACF Master Chef and was a gold medalist at the 1996 Culinary Olympics in Berlin. They worked together at the pastry shop of the Sanctuary Hotel on Kiawah and now own Luckhaus & Brubaker Sweet Shop on James Island.

Johnson and Wales University-trained chef Judy Papadimitriou’s Pies, Cakes and S’more bakes delectable sweets to order—and delivers!



White Duck Taco’s Chefs Laura Reuss and Ben Mixson, of Asheville, create fresh, inventive, often whimsical culinary works of art that everyone can afford—tacos featuring jerk chicken, mole duck, beef bulgogi or banh mi tofu. We were sad to see this fine outfit leave the Island. Visit them in Asheville!
